  • Want to move to Charlotte? Wondering what Charlotte Market looks like!

    Here is a little teaser!

As a native I have seen Charlotte change so much – It’s crazy!

Throughout Charlotte, you’ll find all sorts of diamonds and gems to consider your new home. The lifestyle, culture, and neighborhoods truly make you feel at home. As developments and communities grow, it’ll only get better.

Pricing is rising, however, that is to be expected with all the growth and development. Right now things are a little slow, but will likely pick up as it usually does in the summer. This is a great time for buyers to hit the market with a game plan.

In any case, let me be completely honest with you. The waiting game is not what it’s cracked up to be. A $425k home could be $447k in a matter of six months! That’s all it takes! Six months can turn into thousands of dollars. Do you have a game plan? I do!

Let me know if you want to chat about the market or your real estate needs! πŸ™‚

    What’s happening in Charlotte?

  • From real estate paralegal to real estate agent.

From passing closing documents to real estate contracts.

Oh my have I been through quite the roller coaster ride.

2 years ago – headed to the law firm.

Working for attorneys will teach you to three things: read everything twice, pay attention to detail, and lastly when in doubt just say you don’t know.

Your word is super important and I rather you be honest and knowledgeable than carelessly move forward with whatever.

Be sure to read through everything thoroughly. Lawyers are trained to clarify (usually in detail) and spice of language for contracts. Understand what you are signing.

Paying attention to detail can easily save everyone involved some time. Imagine recording a deed to a home and the Parcel ID or grantee name is wrong πŸ˜‘. Simply mistakes happen but in this world you learn from them and they don’t happen again.

Real estate school is something else too! Some attorneys would even say the NC state test is harder than the BAR exam! 🀯 I can’t imagine. I would prefer going to school longer for this type of test. I also wish upfront cost were there for people to know as well.

Being a real estate agent is new for me. Just the agent part. I’ve been touring and working in homes since I was 8 or 10. Now I just have the luxury of helping people secure their home and their bag πŸ’°.

I’ve watched this city grow and am excited to be a part of it. Welcome home y’all 🏑

  • These two are so different it’s ridiculous.

Pictured below is Tails. She is a true tuxedo cat. She is shy, scared of most things but loves to cuddle.

She hates loud noises but enjoys lounging in sun spots and home made forts.

Below is Mushka, she is a new age tuxedo, grey in color. Spunky and mischievous that one 😏 is all over the place. Literally every morning she has to see the birds morning routines. Even the neighborhood strays and her say they’re greetings.

She will carry a whole conversation with you too! She likes to get on our shoulders and lie down. Maybe she was a parrot in another life.

They are both great in their own ways. I’m just glad they can share the same space peacefully (well sometimes).

I actually call the baby, Mushka the monster, when she is bullying her sister. She goes through phases where all just wants is to play. Tails is never a fan.

She would just like to sleep alongside her and sniff her once in awhile. Haha!

You can find these two cool cats on Instagram @tails_tells_tales

    Staple: jean jacket ftw!

    –––––––

    Oct 10
  • My first few month of diapers I was embarrassed and ashamed.

I’m not gonna lie, I don’t really want to go back to wearing anything else. These are definitely discrete no one has noticed them for a whole entire year.

I have totally embraced the idea of me sporting this around the house. My comfort supersedes everything else.

I have continued this so much so that I forget that underwear is a thing when it’s time to be normal again.

I actually started my blood week today. It has been very painful, for sure. hunched over and pitifully walking around the house. With my house jacket and a couple of groans you’d likely think I was a monster. It’s just little ol Bri though, haha.

Oh, these things are soooo discrete, it’s ridiculous. I wear these diapers under everything BUT form fitting or tight clothing. This is to avoid the obvious lumpy look on your posterior.

I’ll try to serve you some basic looks this week. Diaper included πŸ˜‰

    30 & in diapers

  • Basic ingredients: apple cider vinegar, olive oil, avocado, coconut milk, banana

Today I will be bringing you my vegan avocado mask. My natural hair journey has proven the avocado mask to benefit my hair tremendously.

My first one was in 2018, hah I remember my roommate at the time being very judgmental (πŸ™„ some engineers don’t know when to stop). No I have tried different versions of avocado mask, before some with mayo and egg. Some thing I will not want to be doing. But through all of the trials with the avocado mask in my hair I will say the avocado definitely does wonders.

This mask helps with strength, shine and growth. I love the way it feels so strong immediately once I rinse the mask out. I would typically shed a lot and have breakage from my week wet hair. After the mask I am only shedding what needs to go.

For the best of results consistency is key. To contribute to my self care and self love I do this. It is quite the process, one that I’ve made a part of my life now. It’s ultimately some thing I do for me. My goal is to do this once a month. Mindful side note: it helps me a lot to plan this with my menstrual cycle. Self love in your time of need to important for me, try it out.

This one that I made, is vegan. It just has banana, olive oil, avocado, coconut milk, and apple cider vinegar. (I am on the cusp of vegan and pescatarian if anyone didn’t know). The banana pulp are very pleasing smell once blended together.

    Basic Ingredients

    • 4 Tbsp of apple cider vinegar
    • 1/8 Cup of olive oil
    • 2 large avocados
    • 1/2 cup of coconut milk
    • one large banana
My hair after the mask. Fluffy and moisturized.

Let me know how it benefits you or what benefits you the most. Can’t wait to hear from you!

  • Who says I am thirty years young?…. *Cough Cough* well, for starters my mom, the government. But you know who to say. Bae thinks I have been seven years old this entire time we have been dating. Heck I’d be fourteen if you just counted the birthdays we’ve had together.

Anyway, all that to say. I am a child in the eyes of most men. Here, let me prove it!

For let me just show you all the pictures with my tongue out. FYI – These are not all of them.

I am on Instagram TickTock Facebook and Twitter. I have several accounts I do the most with my personal account (ohhsilly) it’s more of the day to day shenanigans 😬. This is the only place for blogging you now.

    Until next time, xoxo

    Also Happy Hump Daaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeee!

    Shenanigan is my middle name

  • What most find to be called a morning glory muffin is now vegan and gluten-free in this household.

    -Bri

    The Basics

30 minutes to prep and 50 minutes to cook*
Desirable for: Breakfast, Snack, or Dessert
    Total servings: 12 muffins

    • muffin pan and and oven to bake with of course!
    • food processor IF not that a bowl and wisk will work too
    • “ice cream” scoop or spoon for portioning off the batter.

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 coconut oil
    • 1/3 cup water
    • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
    • 2 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
    • 2 cups almond flour*
    • 1 cup rolled oats*
    • 3/4 cup brown sugar
    • 2 tsp baking powder
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
    • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
    • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 2 cups of carrot pulp
    • 1/2 cups of apple pulp (optional)
    • 2 medium diced apples

Here’s a picture of all the things, this was a very messy experience but I enjoyed myself for sure.

    Instructions

    1. oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit grease the tin or use paper baking cups.
    2. small bowl add flax seed and water.
    3. wisk together flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
    4. Coconut oil (should be microwaved if not already melted/liquid)
    5. Stir together the oil, carrots, apples, almond milk, brownsugar and vanilla extraact. Add flaxseed mix last and stir to unify.
    6. Combine wet and dry ingridents and stir til unified. (Not too much, you can over do it).
    7. Disperse batter onto tray evenly using scoop or spoon.
    8. Bake for about 50 minutes or until the
    9. Let them cool in pan for about 5 then transfer to desired area for cooling.

Side note: I had some issues with the bake time. The recipe I started with said 18 minutes. This batch came to a whopping 50 minutes. I am using a gas oven but I still had an ongoing 20 minute timer just to be sure. Look for browning on the top.

Please tell me you have tried this or a version of it! If you haven’t, I need you to. Seriously! I am not trying to pull your leg or anything. They are so healthy too! All twelve of the muffins were gone within two hours of cooling around these parts. *Le sigh* But I promise you this… everyone will be talking about them that’s for sure!

I hope you try and share this recipe as it is the best thing to have around the house. Also, the cozy months are coming. I’ll be slapping some vegan icing on these later as a show stopper for the holidays! Look out for that recipe later! πŸ˜€
